Now there was a certain man in Cæsarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,


And on the morrow they entered into Cæsarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his kinsmen and his near friends.


And behold, forthwith three men stood before the house in which we were, having been sent from Cæsarea unto me.


And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the guards, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judæa to Cæsarea, and tarried there.


And when he had landed at Cæsarea, he went up and saluted the church, and went down to Antioch.


And there went with us also certain of the disciples from Cæsarea, bringing with them one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we should lodge.


And on the morrow we departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and entering into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, we abode with him.


And he called unto him two of the centurions, and said, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go as far as Cæsarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night:


and they, when they came to Cæsarea and delivered the letter to the governor, presented Paul also before him.


Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Cæsarea.


Now when certain days were passed, Agrippa the king and Bernice arrived at Cæsarea, and saluted Festus.


Howbeit Festus answered, that Paul was kept in charge at Cæsarea, and that he himself was about to depart thither shortly.


And when he had tarried among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down unto Cæsarea; and on the morrow he sat on the judgment-seat, and commanded Paul to be brought.


They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.


And when the brethren knew it, they brought him down to Cæsarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.


in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;


There was none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.


Now the Philistines had taken the ark of God, and they brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod.
