My friends and companions stand aloof from my plague, and my nearest kin stand far off.


Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.


And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.


And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.


And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James.


And immediately all the crowd, when they saw him, were greatly amazed and ran up to him and greeted him.


And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,


And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
