And David was grieved because the Lord had struck Oza; and the name of that place was called: The striking of Oza, to this day.
And the Lord was angry with Oza, and struck him, because he had touched the ark. And he died there before the Lord.
Lest as the Lord at first struck us, because you were not present, the same should now also come to pass, by our doing some thing against the law.
Then David said: No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites, whom the Lord hath chosen to carry it, and to minister unto himself for ever.
When you are to go forward, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle: when you are to camp, they shall set it up. What stranger soever cometh to it shall be slain.
