As a servant that earnestly desireth the shadow, And as a hireling that looketh for his wages:


My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?


If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;


O God, thou art my God; earnestly will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee, In a dry and weary land, where no water is.


My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.


Wilt thou show wonders to the dead? Shall they that are deceased arise and praise thee? [Selah


Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O Jehovah; I have spread forth my hands unto thee.


And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto Jehovah; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is Jehovah’s.


And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.


Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.
