Hast not thou made a fence for him, and his house, and all his substance round about: blessed the works of his hands, and his possession hath increased on the earth?
Then the Lord said to Satan: Behold, all that he hath is in thy hand; only put not forth thy hand upon his person. And Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
That dwell in sepulchres and sleep in the temple of idols: that eat swine's flesh, and profane broth is in their vessels:
He that sacrificeth an ox is as if he slew a man: he that killeth a sheep in sacrifice, as if he should brain a dog: he that offereth an oblation, as if he should offer swine's blood; he that remembereth incense, as if he should bless an idol. All these things have they chosen in their ways: and their soul is delighted in their abominations.
Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you.
The devils therefore went out of the man, and entered into the swine; and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were stifled.
