And behold, someone approached and said to him, "Good Teacher, what good should I do, so that I may have eternal life?"
And behold, a certain expert in the law rose up, testing him and saying, "Teacher, what must I do to possess eternal life?"
Do not work for food that perishes, but for that which endures to eternal life, which the Son of man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him."
Jesus responded and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he sent."
And bringing them outside, he said, "Sirs, what must I do, so that I may be saved?"
Now when they had heard these things, they were contrite in heart, and they said to Peter and to the other Apostles: "What should we do, noble brothers?"
Instead, you should approach and listen to all the things that the Lord our God will say to you. And you will speak to us, and we will listen and do these things.'
