But then, Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that YHWH’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.


When he was in distress, he begged YHWH his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.


His prayer also, and how God listened to his request, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places and set up the Asherah poles and the engraved images before he humbled himself: are written in the history of Hozai.


He didn’t humble himself before YHWH, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more.


because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard ʜɪꜱ words against this place and against its inhabitants, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you,” says YHWH.


When others are cast down, you will say, ‘Lift them up.’ Hᴇ will save the humble person.


For though YHWH is high, yet ʜᴇ looks after the lowly; but ʜᴇ knows the proud from afar.


For the one who avenges blood remembers them. Hᴇ does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.


Now I know that YHWH is greater than all other gods because of the way that they treated people arrogantly.”


The fear of YHWH teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.


Before destruction a person’s heart is proud, but before honor is humility.


The result of humility and the fear of YHWH is wealth, honor, and life.


A person’s pride brings them low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.


Surely he mocks the mockers, but he gives grace to the humble.


The loftiness of humanity will be bowed down, and the human arrogance will be brought low; and YHWH alone will be exalted in that day.


“For a small moment I have forsaken you, but I will gather you with great mercies.


For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.


Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.


For whoever has will be given more, and will have abundance. But whoever doesn’t have, even what they have will be taken away.


For whoever exalts themself will be humbled, and whoever humbles themself will be exalted.


Hᴇ has brought down rulers from their thrones, and has exalted the humble.


For everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and whoever humbles themself will be exalted.”


I tell y’all, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts themself will be humbled, but the one who humbles themself will be exalted.”


Humble yourselves* in the presence of the Lord, and ʜᴇ will exalt y’all.


Likewise, y’all who are younger, be subject to the elders. All y’all should clothe yourselves in humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”


“Y’all must not speak so proudly, Or let arrogant words come from y’all’s mouth, For YHWH is a God of knowledge. By ʜɪᴍ actions are weighed.
