He had possessions of flocks, possessions of herds, and a great household. The Philistines envied him.


When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister. She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or else I will die.”


His brothers envied him, but his father kept this saying in mind.


Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his. So when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, so that he would not give offspring to his brother.


YHWH saw that the wickedness of humanity was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of the human heart was continually only evil.


YHWH smelled the pleasant aroma. YHWH said in ʜɪꜱ heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.


They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, YHWH’s saint.


Don’t worry because of evildoers, or be envious against those who work unrighteousness.


The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.


Then I saw all the labor and achievement come from the envy of a one’s neighbor. This also is emptiness and a striving after wind.


The envy also of Ephraim will depart, and those who persecute Judah will be cut off. Ephraim won’t envy Judah, and Judah won’t persecute Ephraim.


Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all YHWH’s people were prophets, that YHWH would put his Spirit on them!”


God is not a human, that he should lie, nor a son of a human, that he should repent. Has he said, and he won’t do it? Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?


If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture can’t be broken),


Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”


Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?”


“The patriarchs burned with jealousy against Joseph, and they sold him into Egypt. But God was with him


being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits. They are gossips,


For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very reason I raised you up, that I might display my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”


Or don’t y’all know that y’all’s body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in y’all, whom y’all have from God? Y’all are not y’all’s own.


What agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will dwell with them and walk among them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”


The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the ethnic groups by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the ethnic groups will be blessed.”


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
