but if he says, ‘I have no delight in you,’ then here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”


Now y’all must not be stiff-necked like y’all’s ancestors were, but submit your* hand to YHWH. Y’all are to enter into ʜɪꜱ sanctuary, which ʜᴇ has sanctified forever, and serve YHWH y’all’s God, so that ʜɪꜱ burning anger may turn away from y’all.


He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. YHWH gave, and YHWH has taken away. Blessed be the name of YHWH.”


Y’all say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.


Rebuke the wild animal of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample under foot the bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.


You are to say to the king and to the queen mother, “Y’all must take a humble seat. for y’all’s crowns of majestic beauty have come down from your* heads.


You will be driven from men and your dwelling will be with the animals of the field. You will be made to eat grass as oxen, and will be wet with the dew of the sky, and seven times will pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.


You will be driven away from humankind, and your dwelling will be with the animals of the field. You will be made to eat grass like oxen. Seven times will pass by you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of humankind, and gives it to whomever ʜᴇ will.’”


Take my yoke upon y’all and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and y’all will find rest for your* souls.

Since they were not understanding God’s righteousness and were seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

and y’all must not give the devil an opportunity.


Y’all are to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.


Therefore y’all must take up the whole armor of God, so that y’all will be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.


Furthermore, we had earthly fathers as instructors, and we respected them. Shouldn’t we submit even more to the Father of spirits and live?


Therefore, for the Lord’s sake, y’all should submit to every human institution: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,


Humble yourselves* therefore under the mighty hand of God, that ʜᴇ may exalt y’all in due time.


Samuel told him every bit, and hid nothing from him. He said, “It is YHWH. Let him do what seems good to him.”
