Therefore you are great, YHWH God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.


We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.


You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.


so that people will say, “Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”


Yes, even when I am old and gray-haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.

When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you are to tell him, ‘By strength of hand YHWH brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Y’all are to tell your* children about it, and have y’all’s children tell their children, and their children, the next generation.


Fathers, y’all must not provoke your* children to anger, but instead y’all are to nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.


Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, so that you don’t forget the things which your eyes saw, and so they don’t depart from y’all’s heart all the days of your life. You are to teach them to your children and your children’s children—
