because you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.


“How long will y’all who are naive love naiveté? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?


Because I have called, and y’all have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention.


Before destruction a person’s heart is proud, but before honor is humility.


Why should y’all be beaten anymore, Why do y’all continue rebelling? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is faint.


The prideful eyes of humanity will be brought low, human arrogance will be bowed down, and YHWH alone will be exalted in that day.


This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and have gone after other gods to serve them and to worship them, will even be as this undergarment, which is profitable for nothing.


You are to say to the king and to the queen mother, “Y’all must take a humble seat. for y’all’s crowns of majestic beauty have come down from your* heads.

“You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,


“How long must I bear with this evil congregation that complains against me? I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel, which they complain against me.


Or do you disdain the riches of ʜɪꜱ kindness, self-restraint, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?


Y’all be sure not to refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned them on the earth, how much more will we not escape if we turn away from him who warns from heaven.


Humble yourselves* in the presence of the Lord, and ʜᴇ will exalt y’all.


Humble yourselves* therefore under the mighty hand of God, that ʜᴇ may exalt y’all in due time.
