Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what YHWH, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.


and they will cover the surface of the earth, so that no one will be able to see the land. They will eat the remainder of what is left to y’all that escaped the hail, and they will eat every tree which grows for y’all from the field.


and I told you, “Let my son go, so that he may serve me,” but you have refused to let him go. See now, I will kill your firstborn son.’”


Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what YHWH, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”


Pharaoh said, “Tomorrow.” Moses said, “Let it be according to your word, so that you may know that there is no one like YHWH our God.


I will put a division between my people and your people. This sign will happen by tomorrow.”’”


Tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.


YHWH appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow YHWH will do this thing in the land.”


The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks.


I will restore to y’all the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the young locust, the destroying locust, and the devouring locust, my great army, which I sent among y’all.


You will carry much seed out into the field, and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it.


Then out of the smoke locusts came on the earth, and power was given to them like the power the scorpions of the earth have.
