God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses wrath every day.


But YHWH hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go.


I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let y’all go.


YHWH said to Moses, “When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.


But Pharaoh will not listen to y’all, so I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring out my military divisions, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.


YHWH hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as YHWH had spoken to Moses.


but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth,


Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. YHWH is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.


“Hᴇ has blinded their eyes and ʜᴇ hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”


For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very reason I raised you up, that I might display my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”


So then, ʜᴇ has mercy on whom ʜᴇ wants to, and ʜᴇ hardens whom ʜᴇ wants to.


For it was of YHWH to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as YHWH commanded Moses.


Woe to us! Who will deliver us out of the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods that struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.
