may you hear from heaven, and act, and judge your servants, repaying the guilty by bringing their conduct on their own head, and vindicating those who are in the right by rewarding them in accordance with their righteousness.


“There are those who rebel against the light, who are not acquainted with its ways, and do not stay in its paths.


Who considers the power of your anger? Your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.


The desire of the righteous ends only in good; the expectation of the wicked in wrath.


By insolence the heedless make strife, but wisdom is with those who take advice.


Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant, who walks in darkness and has no light, yet trusts in the name of the Lord and relies upon his God?


And those who transgressed my covenant and did not keep the terms of the covenant that they made before me, I will make like the calf when they cut it in two and passed between its parts:


Therefore I have poured out my indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath; I have returned their conduct upon their heads, says the Lord God.


Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and by him the rocks are broken in pieces.


For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of those who by their wickedness suppress the truth.


But not all have obeyed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”


For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to win obedience from the Gentiles, by word and deed,


But thanks be to God that you, having once been slaves of sin, have become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were entrusted,


What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects of wrath that are made for destruction;

But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.
