I your servant had two sons. They got into a fight with each other in the field, and no-one was there to separate them. One struck the other and killed him.


though you know that I am not guilty and that no-one can rescue me from your hand?


like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.


In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain.


Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.


They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover.


Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me.
