By all this we are encouraged. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.


I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.


We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.


For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?


How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?


May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.


I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.


It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us.
