Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, ‘Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.’


So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.


For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.


I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the corn and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you.


‘I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them.


Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.


So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.


While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’


Then Jesus ordered him, ‘Don’t tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.’
