And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they will kill me for my wife's sake.


There is none greater in this house than I. Neither has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?


If you are honest, let one of your brothers be bound in the house of your prison. You go carry grain for the famine of your houses.


But the former governors that had been before me were too heavy upon the people, and had taken bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not do this, because of the fear of God.


And I said, What you do is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?


There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. And that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned aside from evil.


But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved alive the male children.


And you shall look out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating unjust gain. And place such over them to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.


And you shall not oppress one another. But you shall fear your God. For I am Jehovah your God.


You shall not rule over him with rigor, but shall fear your God.
