And he put them under guard in the house of the chief of the executioners, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.


And the famine was over all the face of the earth. And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians. And the famine was severe on the land of Egypt.


We are all one man's sons. We are honest; your servants are not spies.


And Joseph said to them the third day, Do this and live. I fear God.


But bring your youngest brother to me, and let your words be confirmed, be proved true, and you shall not die. And they did so.


And they loaded their asses with grain, and departed from there.


And the man, the lord of the country, said to us, By this I shall know that you are honest. Leave one, your brother, with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and go.


And to his father he sent this: ten asses loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses loaded with grain and bread and food for his father by the way.


But this is a people robbed and spoiled; all of them snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison-houses; they have been taken, and none delivers them; a prize, and none says, Give back.


to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness out of the prison house.


And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah, and struck him, and put him in prison, the house of Jonathan the scribe. For they had made that the prison.
