⁴ And a great crowd being together, and coming to him in the city, he spake by a parable:

⁴ And when a very great throng was gathering together and people from town after town kept coming to Jesus, He said in a parable:

⁴ And when a great multitude came together, and they of every city resorted unto him, he spake by a parable:

⁴ When a great crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from one city after another, he spoke to them in a parable:

⁴ Then, when a very numerous crowd was gathering together and hurrying from the cities to him, he spoke using a comparison:

⁴ And when a very great multitude was gathered together, and hastened out of the cities unto him, he spoke by a similitude.

And in that day Jesus, having come out of the house, sat by the sea.

The sower went out to sow his seed; and in his sowing, some truly fell by the way, and was trodden down, and the fowls of heaven devoured it.
