“You are a very important servant to me.\par The people of Israel are prisoners,\par but they will be brought back to me.\par Jacob’s family groups will come back to me.\par But, you have another job;\par it is even more important than this!\par I will make you a light for all nations.\par You will be my way to save\par all the people on earth.”\par
Lord, you are my strength\par and my protection.\par You are a safe place to run to\par in time of trouble.\par The nations will come to you\par from all around the world.\par They will say,\par “Our fathers had false gods.\par They worshiped those worthless idols,\par but those idols did not help them at all.”\par
The people of Israel will come\par to the top of Zion, {\cf2\super [252]} \par and they will shout with joy.\par Their faces will shine with happiness\par about the good things the Lord gives them.\par The Lord will give them grain, new wine,\par olive oil, young sheep, and cows.\par They will be like a garden\par that has plenty of water.\par And the people of Israel will not\par be troubled anymore.\par
You will come to fight against my people Israel. You will be like a thundercloud covering the land. When that time comes, I will bring you to fight against my land. Then, Gog, the nations will learn how powerful I am! They will learn to respect me and know that I am holy. They will see what I will do to you!’”
Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and gold broke to pieces all at the same time. And all those pieces became like chaff {\cf2\super [14]} on a threshing floor {\cf2\super [15]} in the summertime. The wind blew those pieces away, and there was nothing left. No one could tell that a statue had ever been there. Then the rock that hit the statue became a very large mountain and filled up the whole earth.
“During the time of the kings \{of the fourth kingdom\}, the God of heaven will set up another kingdom. This kingdom will continue forever! It will never be destroyed! And it will be the kind of kingdom that can’t be passed on to another group of people. This kingdom will crush all those other kingdoms. It will bring those kingdoms to an end. But that kingdom itself will continue forever.
At that time, the whole area around Jerusalem will become \{empty\} like the Arabah desert. The country will be like a desert from Geba to Rimmon in the Negev. But the whole city of Jerusalem will be built again—from Benjamin Gate to the First Gate (that is, the Corner Gate) and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.
Then I saw some thrones and people sitting on them. These were the people who had been given the power to judge. And I saw the souls of those people who had been killed because \{they were faithful to\} the truth of Jesus and the message {\cf2\super [152]} from God. Those people did not worship the animal or his idol. {\cf2\super [153]} They did not receive the mark of the animal on their foreheads or on their hands. Those people became alive again and ruled with Christ for 1,000 years.
