The Lord hates every person who thinks that he is better than other people. The Lord will surely punish all those proud people.


Heaven and Earth, listen to the Lord! The Lord says,


Did any of you people listen to \{God’s\} words? No! But you should listen very closely to his words \{and think about what happened\}.


This is what the Lord said: “The loincloth {\cf2\super [109]} is ruined and not good for anything. In the same way, I will ruin the proud people of Judah and Jerusalem.


But if you kill me, be sure of one thing. You will be guilty of killing an innocent person. You will make this city and everyone that lives in it guilty, too. The Lord really did send me to you. The message you heard really is from the Lord.”


Leaders, listen to this message!\par Listen to me, all you people\par that live in the land.\par Has anything like this happened before\par during your lifetime? No!\par Did anything like this happen\par during your fathers’ lifetime? No!\par


\{I was a shepherd\} and the Lord took me from following the sheep. The Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’


Be humble before the Lord, and he will make you great.
