Job prayed for his friends. And the Lord made Job successful again. God gave Job twice as much as he had before.


When the Lord makes us free again\par it will be like a dream!\par


Lord, be kind to your country.\par Jacob’s \{people are exiles {\cf2\super [493]} \par in a foreign country.\}\par Bring the exiles back to their country.\par


“So, Jacob {\cf2\super [237]} my servant, don’t be afraid!”\par This message is from the Lord.\par “Israel, don’t be afraid.\par I will save you from that faraway place.\par You are captives {\cf2\super [238]} in that faraway land,\par But I will save your descendants. {\cf2\super [239]} \par \{I will bring them back\} from that land.\par Jacob will have peace again.\par People will not bother Jacob.\par There will be no enemy to scare my people.\par


The Lord All-Powerful,\par the God of the people of Israel, says:\par “Babylon is like a threshing floor. {\cf2\super [424]} \par At harvest time, people beat grain\par to separate the good parts from the chaff. {\cf2\super [425]} \par And the time to beat Babylon\par is coming soon.\par


Bring the sickle, {\cf2\super [30]} \par because the harvest is ripe. {\cf2\super [31]} \par Come, walk on \{the grapes,\}\par because the winepress is full.\par The barrels will be full and spilling over,\par because their evil is great.\par


\{Those people have their plans.\}\par But they don’t know what the Lord\par is planning.\par The Lord brought those people here\par \{for a special purpose\}.\par Those people will be \{crushed\}\par like grain on a threshing floor. {\cf2\super [56]} \par


Then that land will belong to the survivors {\cf2\super [16]} from Judah. The Lord will remember those people from Judah. Those people are prisoners in a foreign country. But the Lord will bring them back. Then the people from Judah will let their sheep eat the grass in those fields. In the evenings, they will lie down in the empty houses of Ashkelon.


Then another angel came out of the temple. {\cf2\super [107]} This angel called to the One who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and gather \{from the earth\}. The time to harvest has come. The fruit of the earth is ripe.”
