may you hear in heaven and act. May you judge your servants, condemning the wicked man by bringing what he has done on his own head and providing justice for the righteous by rewarding him according to his righteousness.


The wicked are those who rebel against the light. They do not recognise its ways or stay on its paths.


The desire of the righteous turns out well, but the hope of the wicked leads to wrath.


Arrogance leads to nothing but strife, but wisdom is gained by those who take advice.


Who among you fears the  Lord and listens to his servant? Who among you walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the  Lord; let him lean on his God.


As for those who disobeyed my covenant,  not keeping the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat them like the calf they cut in two in order to pass between its pieces.


So I have poured out my indignation on them and consumed them with the fire of my fury. I have brought their conduct down on their own heads.’  This is the declaration of the Lord God.


Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his burning anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; even rocks are shattered before him.


For God’s wrath  is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,


But not all obeyed the gospel.  For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?   ,


For I would not dare say anything except what Christ has accomplished through me  by word and deed for the obedience of the Gentiles,


But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin,  you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching to which you were handed  over,


And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience  objects of wrath prepared for destruction?


If anyone wants to argue about this, we have no other  custom, nor do the churches of God.


For I fear that perhaps when I come I will not find you to be what I want, and you may not find me to be what you want. Perhaps there will be quarrelling,  jealousy,  angry outbursts, selfish ambitions,  slander,  gossip, arrogance, and disorder.

the others proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition,  not sincerely, thinking that they will cause me trouble in my imprisonment.


Do nothing out of selfish ambition  or conceit,  but in humility  consider others as more important  than yourselves.


when he takes vengeance with flaming fire  on those who don’t know God  and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.


But avoid foolish debates,  genealogies,  quarrels,  and disputes about the law, because they are unprofitable and worthless.


but a terrifying expectation of judgement and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries.


By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and set out for a place that he was going to receive as an inheritance. He went out, even though he did not know where he was going.


After he was perfected, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,

he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is poured full strength into the cup of his anger.  He will be tormented with fire and sulphur  in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb,


The great city  split into three parts, and the cities of the nations  fell. Babylon the Great was remembered in God’s presence; he gave her the cup filled with the wine of his fierce anger.
