² H559And said[H8799] H3414unto JeremiahH5030the prophetH8467, Let, we beseech thee, our supplicationH5307be accepted[H8799] H6440beforeH6419thee, and pray[H8690] H3068for us unto the LORDH430thy GodH7611, even for all this remnantH7604; (for we are left[H8738] H4592but a fewH7235of many[H8687] H5869, as thine eyesH7200do behold[H8802]  us:)

³ H3068That the LORDH430thy GodH5046may shew[H8686] H1870us the wayH3212wherein we may walk[H8799] H1697, and the thingH6213that we may do[H8799] .

⁴ H3414Then JeremiahH5030the prophetH559said[H8799] H8085unto them, I have heard[H8804] H6419you; behold, I will pray[H8693] H3068unto the LORDH430your GodH1697according to your wordsH1697; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thingH3068the LORDH6030shall answer[H8799] H5046you, I will declare[H8686] H4513it unto you; I will keepH1697nothingH4513back[H8799]  from you.

⁵ H559Then they said[H8804] H3414to JeremiahH3068, The LORDH571be a trueH539and faithful[H8737] H5707witnessH6213between us, if we do[H8799] H1697not even according to all thingsH3068for the which the LORDH430thy GodH7971shall send[H8799]  thee to us.

⁶ H2896Whether it be goodH7451, or whether it be evilH8085, we will obey[H8799] H6963the voiceH3068of the LORDH430our GodH580, to whom weH7971send[H8802] H3190thee; that it may be well[H8799] H8085with us, when we obey[H8799] H6963the voiceH3068of the LORDH430our God.

⁷ H7093And it came to pass afterH6235tenH3117daysH1697, that the wordH3068of the LORDH3414came unto Jeremiah.

⁹ H559And said[H8799] H559unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH7971, unto whom ye sent[H8804] H5307me to present[H8687] H8467your supplicationH6440before him;

¹⁰ H7725If ye will still[H8800] H3427abide[H8799] H776in this landH1129, then will I build[H8804] H2040you, and not pull you down[H8799] H5193, and I will plant[H8804] H5428you, and not pluck you up[H8799] H5162: for I repent[H8738] H7451me of the evilH6213that I have done[H8804]  unto you.

¹¹ H3372Be not afraid[H8799] H6440ofH4428the kingH894of BabylonH6440, of whomH3373ye are afraidH3372; be not afraid[H8799] H5002of him, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH3467: for I am with you to save[H8687] H5337you, and to deliver[H8687] H3027you from his hand.

¹² H5414And I will shew[H8799] H7356merciesH7355unto you, that he may have mercy[H8765] H7725upon you, and cause you to return[H8689] H127to your own land.

¹³ H559But if ye say[H8802] H3427, We will not dwell[H8799] H776in this landH8085, neither obey[H8800] H6963the voiceH3068of the LORDH430your God,

¹⁴ H559Saying[H8800] H935, No; but we will go[H8799] H776into the landH4714of EgyptH7200, where we shall see[H8799] H4421no warH8085, nor hear[H8799] H6963the soundH7782of the trumpetH7456, nor have hunger[H8799] H3899of breadH3427; and there will we dwell[H8799] :

¹⁵ H8085And now therefore hear[H8798] H1697the wordH3068of the LORDH7611, ye remnantH3063of JudahH559; Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH7760; If ye wholly[H8800] H7760set[H8799] H6440your facesH935to enter[H8800] H4714into EgyptH935, and go[H8804] H1481to sojourn[H8800]  there;

¹⁶ H2719Then it shall come to pass, that the swordH3373, which ye fearedH5381, shall overtake[H8686] H776you there in the landH4714of EgyptH7458, and the famineH1672, whereof ye were afraid[H8802] H1692, shall follow close[H8799] H310afterH4714you there in EgyptH4191; and there ye shall die[H8799] .

¹⁷ H582So shall it be with all the menH7760that set[H8804] H6440their facesH935to go[H8800] H4714into EgyptH1481to sojourn[H8800] H4191there; they shall die[H8799] H2719by the swordH7458, by the famineH1698, and by the pestilenceH8300: and none of them shall remainH6412or escapeH6440fromH7451the evilH935that I will bring[H8688]  upon them.

¹⁸ H559For thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH639; As mine angerH2534and my furyH5413hath been poured forth[H8738] H3427upon the inhabitants[H8802] H3389of JerusalemH2534; so shall my furyH5413be poured forth[H8799] H935upon you, when ye shall enter[H8800] H4714into EgyptH423: and ye shall be an execrationH8047, and an astonishmentH7045, and a curseH2781, and a reproachH7200; and ye shall see[H8799] H4725this place no more.

¹⁹ H3068The LORDH1696hath said[H8765] H7611concerning you, O ye remnantH3063of JudahH935; Go[H8799] H4714ye not into EgyptH3045: know[H8799] H3045certainly[H8800] H5749that I have admonished[H8689] H3117you this day.

²⁰ H8582For ye dissembled[H8689] H5315in your heartsH7971, when ye sent[H8804] H3068me unto the LORDH430your GodH559, saying[H8800] H6419, Pray[H8690] H3068for us unto the LORDH430our GodH3068; and according unto all that the LORDH430our GodH559shall say[H8799] H5046, so declare[H8685] H6213unto us, and we will do[H8804]  it .

²¹ H3117And now I have this dayH5046declared[H8686] H8085it to you; but ye have not obeyed[H8804] H6963the voiceH3068of the LORDH430your GodH7971, nor any thing for the which he hath sent[H8804]  me unto you.

²² H3045Now therefore know[H8799] H3045certainly[H8800] H4191that ye shall die[H8799] H2719by the swordH7458, by the famineH1698, and by the pestilenceH4725, in the placeH2654whither ye desire[H8804] H935to go[H8800] H1481and to sojourn[H8800] .
