³ H559And say[H8804] H559thou unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH779; Cursed[H8803] H376be the manH8085that obeyeth[H8799] H1697not the wordsH1285of this covenant,

⁴ H6680Which I commanded[H8765] H1your fathersH3117in the dayH3318that I brought them forth[H8687] H776out of the landH4714of EgyptH1270, from the ironH3564furnaceH559, saying[H8800] H8085, Obey[H8798] H6963my voiceH6213, and do[H8804] H6680them, according to all which I command[H8762] H5971you: so shall ye be my peopleH430, and I will be your God:

⁵ H6965That I may perform[H8687] H7621the oathH7650which I have sworn[H8738] H1unto your fathersH5414, to give[H8800] H776them a landH2100flowing[H8802] H2461with milkH1706and honeyH3117, as it is this dayH6030. Then answered[H8799] H559I, and said[H8799] H543, So be itH3068, O LORD.

⁶ H3068Then the LORDH559said[H8799] H7121unto me, Proclaim[H8798] H1697all these wordsH5892in the citiesH3063of JudahH2351, and in the streetsH3389of JerusalemH559, saying[H8800] H8085, Hear[H8798] H1697ye the wordsH1285of this covenantH6213, and do[H8804]  them.

⁷ H5749For I earnestly[H8687] H5749protested[H8689] H1unto your fathersH3117in the dayH5927that I brought them up[H8687] H776out of the landH4714of EgyptH3117, even unto this dayH7925, rising early[H8687] H5749and protesting[H8687] H559, saying[H8800] H8085, Obey[H8798] H6963my voice.

⁸ H8085Yet they obeyed[H8804] H5186not, nor inclined[H8689] H241their earH3212, but walked[H8799] H376every oneH8307in the imaginationH7451of their evilH3820heartH935: therefore I will bring[H8686] H1697upon them all the wordsH1285of this covenantH6680, which I commanded[H8765] H6213them to do[H8800] H6213; but they did[H8804]  them not.

⁹ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H7195unto me, A conspiracyH4672is found[H8738] H376among the menH3063of JudahH3427, and among the inhabitants[H8802] H3389of Jerusalem.

¹⁰ H7725They are turned back[H8804] H5771to the iniquitiesH7223of their forefathersH1 H3985, which refused[H8765] H8085to hear[H8800] H1697my wordsH1980; and they went[H8804] H310afterH312otherH430godsH5647to serve[H8800] H1004them: the houseH3478of IsraelH1004and the houseH3063of JudahH6565have broken[H8689] H1285my covenantH3772which I made[H8804] H1with their fathers.

¹¹ H559Therefore thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH935, Behold, I will bring[H8688] H7451evilH3201upon them, which they shall not be able[H8799] H3318to escape[H8800] H2199; and though they shall cry[H8804] H8085unto me, I will not hearken[H8799]  unto them.

¹² H5892Then shall the citiesH3063of JudahH3427and inhabitants[H8802] H3389of JerusalemH1980go[H8804] H2199, and cry[H8804] H430unto the godsH6999unto whom they offer incense[H8764] H3467: but they shall not save[H8686] H3467them at all[H8687] H6256in the timeH7451of their trouble.

¹³ H4557For according to the numberH5892of thy citiesH430were thy godsH3063, O JudahH4557; and according to the numberH2351of the streetsH3389of JerusalemH7760have ye set up[H8804] H4196altarsH1322to that shameful thingH4196, even altarsH6999to burn incense[H8763] H1168unto Baal.

¹⁴ H6419Therefore pray[H8691] H5971not thou for this peopleH5375, neither lift up[H8799] H7440a cryH8605or prayerH8085for them: for I will not hear[H8802] H6256them in the timeH7121that they cry[H8800] H7451unto me for their trouble.

¹⁵ H3039What hath my belovedH1004to do in mine houseH6213, seeing she hath wrought[H8800] H4209lewdnessH7227with manyH6944, and the holyH1320fleshH5674is passed[H8799] H7451from thee? when thou doest evilH5937, then thou rejoicest[H8799] .

¹⁶ H3068The LORDH7121called[H8804] H8034thy nameH7488, A greenH2132olive treeH3303, fairH8389, and of goodlyH6529fruitH6963: with the noiseH1419of a greatH1999tumultH3341he hath kindled[H8689] H784fireH1808upon it, and the branchesH7489of it are broken[H8804] .

¹⁷ H3068For the LORDH6635of hostsH5193, that planted[H8802] H1696thee, hath pronounced[H8765] H7451evilH1558against thee, forH7451the evilH1004of the houseH3478of IsraelH1004and of the houseH3063of JudahH6213, which they have done[H8804] H3707against themselves to provoke me to anger[H8687] H6999in offering incense[H8763] H1168unto Baal.

¹⁸ H3068And the LORDH3045hath given me knowledge[H8799] H3045of it, and I know[H8689] H7200it : then thou shewedst[H8689] H4611me their doings.

¹⁹ H3532But I was like a lambH441or an oxH2986that is brought[H8714] H2873to the slaughter[H8800] H3045; and I knew[H8804] H2803not that they had devised[H8804] H4284devicesH7843against me, saying, Let us destroy[H8686] H6086the treeH3899with the fruitH3772thereof, and let us cut him off[H8799] H776from the landH2416of the livingH8034, that his nameH2142may be no more remembered[H8735] .

²⁰ H3068But, O LORDH6635of hostsH8199, that judgest[H8802] H6664righteouslyH974, that triest[H8802] H3629the reinsH3820and the heartH7200, let me see[H8799] H5360thy vengeanceH1540on them: for unto thee have I revealed[H8765] H7379my cause.

²¹ H559Therefore thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH582of the menH6068of AnathothH1245, that seek[H8764] H5315thy lifeH559, saying[H8800] H5012, Prophesy[H8735] H8034not in the nameH3068of the LORDH4191, that thou die[H8799] H3027not by our hand:

²² H559Therefore thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH6485, Behold, I will punish[H8802] H970them: the young menH4191shall die[H8799] H2719by the swordH1121; their sonsH1323and their daughtersH4191shall die[H8799] H7458by famine:

²³ H7611And there shall be no remnantH935of them: for I will bring[H8686] H7451evilH582upon the menH6068of AnathothH8141, even the yearH6486of their visitation.
