² H5046And one told[H8686] H3290JacobH559, and said[H8799] H1121, Behold, thy sonH3130JosephH935cometh[H8802] H3478unto thee: and IsraelH2388strengthened[H8691] H3427himself, and sat[H8799] H4296upon the bed.

³ H3290And JacobH559said[H8799] H3130unto JosephH410, GodH7706AlmightyH7200appeared[H8738] H3870unto me at LuzH776in the landH3667of CanaanH1288, and blessed[H8762]  me,

⁴ H559And said[H8799] H6509unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful[H8688] H7235, and multiply[H8689] H5414thee, and I will make[H8804] H6951of thee a multitudeH5971of peopleH5414; and will give[H8804] H776this landH2233to thy seedH310after theeH5769for an everlastingH272possession.

⁵ H8147And now thy twoH1121sonsH669, EphraimH4519and ManassehH3205, which were born[H8737] H776unto thee in the landH4714of EgyptH5704beforeH935I came[H8800] H4714unto thee into EgyptH7205, are mine; as ReubenH8095and Simeon, they shall be mine.

⁶ H4138And thy issueH3205, which thou begettest[H8689] H310afterH7121them, shall be thine, and shall be called[H8735] H5921afterH8034the nameH251of their brethrenH5159in their inheritance.

⁹ H3130And JosephH559said[H8799] H1unto his fatherH1121, They are my sonsH430, whom GodH5414hath given[H8804] H559me in this place . And he said[H8799] H3947, Bring them[H8798] H1288, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless[H8762]  them.

¹⁰ H5869Now the eyesH3478of IsraelH3513were dim[H8804] H2207for ageH3201, so that he could[H8799] H7200not see[H8800] H5066. And he brought them near[H8686] H5401unto him; and he kissed[H8799] H2263them, and embraced[H8762]  them.

¹⁴ H3478And IsraelH7971stretched out[H8799] H3225his right handH7896, and laid[H8799] H669it upon Ephraim'sH7218headH6810, who was the youngerH8040, and his left handH4519upon Manasseh'sH7218headH7919, guidingH3027his handsH7919wittingly[H8765] H4519; for ManassehH1060was the firstborn.

¹⁵ H1288And he blessed[H8762] H3130JosephH559, and said[H8799] H430, GodH6440, beforeH1whom my fathersH85AbrahamH3327and IsaacH1980did walk[H8694] H430, the GodH7462which fed[H8802] H5750me all my life longH3117unto this day,

¹⁶ H4397The AngelH1350which redeemed[H8802] H7451me from all evilH1288, bless[H8762] H5288the ladsH8034; and let my nameH7121be named[H8735] H8034on them, and the nameH1of my fathersH85AbrahamH3327and IsaacH1711; and let them grow[H8799] H7230into a multitudeH7130in the midstH776of the earth.

¹⁷ H3130And when JosephH7200saw[H8799] H1that his fatherH7896laid[H8799] H3225his rightH3027handH7218upon the headH669of EphraimH3415, it displeased[H8799] H5869 H8551him: and he held up[H8799] H1his father'sH3027handH5493, to remove[H8687] H669it from Ephraim'sH7218headH4519unto Manasseh'sH7218head.

¹⁸ H3130And JosephH559said[H8799] H1unto his fatherH1, Not so, my fatherH1060: for this is the firstbornH7760; put[H8798] H3225thy right handH7218upon his head.

¹⁹ H1And his fatherH3985refused[H8762] H559, and said[H8799] H3045, I know[H8804] H1121it, my sonH3045, I know[H8804] H5971it : he also shall become a peopleH1431, and he also shall be great[H8799] H199: but trulyH6996his youngerH251brotherH1431shall be greater[H8799] H2233than he, and his seedH4393shall become a multitudeH1471of nations.

²⁰ H1288And he blessed[H8762] H3117them that dayH559, saying[H8800] H3478, In thee shall IsraelH1288bless[H8762] H559, saying[H8800] H430, GodH7760make[H8799] H669thee as EphraimH4519and as ManassehH7760: and he set[H8799] H669EphraimH6440beforeH4519Manasseh.

²¹ H3478And IsraelH559said[H8799] H3130unto JosephH4191, Behold, I die[H8801] H430: but GodH7725shall be with you, and bring you again[H8689] H776unto the landH1of your fathers.

²² H5414Moreover I have given[H8804] H259to thee oneH7926portionH251above thy brethrenH3947, which I took[H8804] H3027out of the handH567of the AmoriteH2719with my swordH7198and with my bow.
