² H7971And I will send[H8804] H4397an angelH6440beforeH1644thee; and I will drive out[H8765] H3669the CanaaniteH567, the AmoriteH2850, and the HittiteH6522, and the PerizziteH2340, the HiviteH2983, and the Jebusite:

³ H776Unto a landH2100flowing[H8802] H2461with milkH1706and honeyH5927: for I will not go up[H8799] H7130in the midstH7186of thee; for thou art a stiffneckedH6203 H5971peopleH3615: lest I consume[H8762] H1870thee in the way.

⁴ H5971And when the peopleH8085heard[H8799] H7451these evilH1697tidingsH56, they mourned[H8691] H376: and no manH7896did put[H8804] H5716on him his ornaments.

⁵ H3068For the LORDH559had said[H8799] H4872unto MosesH559, Say[H8798] H1121unto the childrenH3478of IsraelH7186, Ye are a stiffneckedH6203 H5971peopleH5927: I will come up[H8799] H7130into the midstH259of thee in aH7281momentH3615, and consume[H8765] H3381thee: therefore now put off[H8685] H5716thy ornamentsH3045from thee, that I may know[H8799] H6213what to do[H8799]  unto thee.

⁶ H1121And the childrenH3478of IsraelH5337stripped[H8691] H5716themselves of their ornamentsH2022by the mountH2722Horeb.

⁷ H4872And MosesH3947took[H8799] H168the tabernacleH5186, and pitched[H8804] H2351it withoutH4264the campH7368, afar off[H8687] H4264from the campH7121, and called[H8804] H168it the TabernacleH4150of the congregationH1245. ⁹ H4872And it came to pass, as MosesH935entered[H8800] H168into the tabernacleH6051, the cloudyH5982pillarH3381descended[H8799] H5975, and stood[H8804] H6607at the doorH168of the tabernacleH1696, and the LORD talked[H8765] H4872with Moses.

¹² H4872And MosesH559said[H8799] H3068unto the LORDH7200, See[H8798] H559, thou sayest[H8802] H5927unto me, Bring up[H8685] H5971this peopleH3045: and thou hast not let me know[H8689] H7971whom thou wilt send[H8799] H559with me. Yet thou hast said[H8804] H3045, I know[H8804] H8034thee by nameH4672, and thou hast also found[H8804] H2580graceH5869in my sight.

¹³ H4672Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found[H8804] H2580graceH5869in thy sightH3045, shew[H8685] H1870me now thy wayH3045, that I may know[H8799] H4672thee, that I may find[H8799] H2580graceH5869in thy sightH7200: and consider[H8798] H1471that this nationH5971is thy people.

¹⁴ H559And he said[H8799] H6440, My presenceH3212shall go[H8799] H5117with thee, and I will give thee rest[H8689] .

¹⁵ H559And he said[H8799] H6440unto him, If thy presenceH1980go[H8802] H5927not with me, carry us not up[H8686]  hence.

¹⁶ H3045For wherein shall it be known[H8735] H645hereH5971that I and thy peopleH4672have found[H8804] H2580graceH5869in thy sightH3212? is it not in that thou goest[H8800] H6395with us? so shall we be separated[H8738] H5971, I and thy peopleH5971, from all the peopleH6440that are upon the faceH127of the earth.

¹⁷ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H4872unto MosesH6213, I will do[H8799] H1697this thingH1696also that thou hast spoken[H8765] H4672: for thou hast found[H8804] H2580graceH5869in my sightH3045, and I know[H8799] H8034thee by name.

¹⁸ H559And he said[H8799] H4994, I beseech theeH7200, shew[H8685] H3519me thy glory.

¹⁹ H559And he said[H8799] H2898, I will make all my goodnessH5674pass[H8686] H7121before thee, and I will proclaim[H8804] H8034the nameH3068of the LORDH6440beforeH2603thee; and will be gracious[H8804] H2603to whom I will be gracious[H8799] H7355, and will shew mercy[H8765] H7355on whom I will shew mercy[H8762] .

²⁰ H559And he said[H8799] H3201, Thou canst[H8799] H7200not see[H8800] H6440my faceH120: for there shall no manH7200see[H8799] H2425me, and live[H8804] .

²¹ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H4725, Behold, there is a placeH5324by me, and thou shalt stand[H8738] H6697upon a rock:

²² H3519And it shall come to pass, while my gloryH5674passeth by[H8800] H7760, that I will put[H8804] H5366thee in a cliftH6697of the rockH5526, and will cover[H8804] H3709thee with my handH5704whileH5674I pass by[H8800] :
