³ H5869Your eyesH7200have seen[H8802] H3068what the LORDH6213did[H8804] H1187because of BaalpeorH376: for all the menH310that followedH1980 [H8804] H1187BaalpeorH3068, the LORDH430thy GodH8045hath destroyed[H8689] H7130them from among you.

⁴ H1695But ye that did cleaveH3068unto the LORDH430your GodH2416are aliveH3117every one of you this day.

⁵ H7200Behold[H8798] H3925, I have taught[H8765] H2706you statutesH4941and judgmentsH834, even asH3068the LORDH430my GodH6680commanded[H8765] H6213me, that ye should do[H8800] H7130so inH776the landH935whither ye go[H8802] H3423to possess[H8800]  it.

⁶ H8104Keep[H8804] H6213therefore and do[H8804] H2451them; for this is your wisdomH998and your understandingH5869in the sightH5971of the nationsH8085, which shall hear[H8799] H2706all these statutesH559, and say[H8804] H1419, Surely this greatH1471nationH2450is a wiseH995and understanding[H8737] H5971people.

⁷ H1471For what nationH1419is there so greatH430, who hath GodH7138so nighH3068unto them, as the LORDH430our GodH7121is in all things that we call[H8800]  upon him for ?

⁸ H1471And what nationH1419is there so greatH2706, that hath statutesH4941and judgmentsH6662so righteousH8451as all this lawH5414, which I set[H8802] H6440beforeH3117you this day?

⁹ H8104Only take heed[H8734] H8104to thyself, and keep[H8798] H5315thy soulH3966diligentlyH7911, lest thou forget[H8799] H1697the thingsH5869which thine eyesH7200have seen[H8804] H5493, and lest they depart[H8799] H3824from thy heartH3117all the daysH2416of thy lifeH3045: but teach[H8689] H1121them thy sonsH1121, and thy sonsH1121' sons;

¹⁰ H3117Specially the dayH5975that thou stoodest[H8804] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH430thy GodH2722in HorebH3068, when the LORDH559said[H8800] H6950unto me, GatherH5971me the peopleH6950together[H8685] H8085, and I will make them hear[H8686] H1697my wordsH3925, that they may learn[H8799] H3372to fear[H8800] H3117me all the daysH2416that they shall liveH127upon the earthH3925, and that they may teach[H8762] H1121their children.

¹¹ H7126And ye came near[H8799] H5975and stood[H8799] H2022under the mountainH2022; and the mountainH1197burned[H8802] H784with fireH3820unto the midstH8064of heavenH6205, with darknessH6051, cloudsH2822, and thick darkness.

¹² H3068And the LORDH1696spake[H8762] H8432unto you out of the midstH784of the fireH8085: ye heard[H8802] H6963the voiceH1697of the wordsH7200, but saw[H8802] H8544no similitudeH2108; onlyH6963ye heard a voice.

¹⁶ H7843Lest ye corrupt[H8686] H6213yourselves, and make[H8804] H6459you a graven imageH8544, the similitudeH5566of any figureH8403, the likenessH2145of maleH5347or female,

¹⁷ H8403The likenessH929of any beastH776that is on the earthH8403, the likenessH3671of any wingedH6833fowlH5774that flieth[H8799] H8064in the air,

¹⁸ H8403The likenessH7430of any thing that creepeth[H8802] H127on the groundH8403, the likenessH1710of any fishH4325that is in the watersH8478beneathH776the earth:

¹⁹ H5375And lest thou lift up[H8799] H5869thine eyesH8064unto heavenH7200, and when thou seest[H8804] H8121the sunH3394, and the moonH3556, and the starsH6635, even all the hostH8064of heavenH5080, shouldest be driven[H8738] H7812to worship[H8694] H5647them, and serve[H8804] H3068them, which the LORDH430thy GodH2505hath divided[H8804] H5971unto all nationsH8064under the whole heaven.

²⁰ H3068But the LORDH3947hath taken[H8804] H3318you, and brought you forth[H8686] H1270out of the ironH3564furnaceH4714, even out of EgyptH5971, to be unto him a peopleH5159of inheritanceH3117, as ye are this day.

²¹ H3068Furthermore the LORDH599was angry[H8694] H1697with me for your sakesH7650, and sware[H8735] H5674that I should not go over[H8800] H3383JordanH935, and that I should not go[H8800] H2896in unto that goodH776landH3068, which the LORDH430thy GodH5414giveth[H8802] H5159thee for an inheritance:

²² H4191But I must die[H8801] H776in this landH5674, I must not go over[H8802] H3383JordanH5674: but ye shall go over[H8802] H3423, and possess[H8804] H2896that goodH776land.

²³ H8104Take heed[H8734] H7911unto yourselves, lest ye forget[H8799] H1285the covenantH3068of the LORDH430your GodH3772, which he made[H8804] H6213with you, and make[H8804] H6459you a graven imageH8544, or the likenessH3605of anyH3068thing, which the LORDH430thy GodH6680hath forbidden[H8765]  thee.

²⁴ H3068For the LORDH430thy GodH398is a consuming[H8802] H784fireH7067, even a jealousH410God.

²⁵ H3205When thou shalt beget[H8686] H1121childrenH1121, and children'sH1121childrenH3462, and ye shall have remained long[H8738] H776in the landH7843, and shall corrupt[H8689] H6213yourselves, and make[H8804] H6459a graven imageH8544, or the likenessH6213of any thing, and shall do[H8804] H7451evilH5869in the sightH3068of the LORDH430thy GodH3707, to provoke him to anger[H8687] :

²⁶ H5749I callH8064heavenH776and earthH5749to witness[H8689] H3117against you this dayH4118, that ye shall soonH6utterly[H8800] H6perish[H8799] H776from off the landH5674whereunto ye go over[H8802] H3383JordanH3423to possess[H8800] H748it; ye shall not prolong[H8686] H3117your daysH8045upon it, but shall utterly[H8736] H8045be destroyed[H8735] .

²⁷ H3068And the LORDH6327shall scatter[H8689] H5971you among the nationsH7604, and ye shall be left[H8738] H4962fewH4557in numberH1471among the heathenH3068, whither the LORDH5090shall lead[H8762]  you.

²⁸ H5647And there ye shall serve[H8804] H430godsH4639, the workH120of men'sH3027handsH6086, woodH68and stoneH7200, which neither see[H8799] H8085, nor hear[H8799] H398, nor eat[H8799] H7306, nor smell[H8686] .

²⁹ H1245But if from thence thou shalt seek[H8765] H3068the LORDH430thy GodH4672, thou shalt find[H8804] H1875him, if thou seek[H8799] H3824him with all thy heartH5315and with all thy soul.

³⁰ H6862When thou art in tribulationH1697, and all these thingsH4672are come[H8804] H319upon thee, even in the latterH3117daysH7725, if thou turn[H8804] H3068to the LORDH430thy GodH8085, and shalt be obedient[H8804] H6963unto his voice;

³¹ H3068(For the LORDH430thy GodH7349is a mercifulH410GodH7503;) he will not forsake[H8686] H7843thee, neither destroy[H8686] H7911thee, nor forget[H8799] H1285the covenantH1of thy fathersH7650which he sware[H8738]  unto them.

³² H7592For ask[H8798] H3117now of the daysH7223that are pastH1961, which were[H8738] H6440beforeH3117thee, since the dayH430that GodH1254created[H8804] H120manH776upon the earthH7097, and ask from the one sideH8064of heavenH1419unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this greatH1697thingH8085is, or hath been heard[H8738]  like it?

³³ H5971Did ever peopleH8085hear[H8804] H6963the voiceH430of GodH1696speaking out[H8764] H8432of the midstH784of the fireH8085, as thou hast heard[H8804] H2421, and live[H8799] ?

³⁴ H430Or hath GodH5254assayed[H8765] H935to go[H8800] H3947and take[H8800] H1471him a nationH7130from the midstH1471of another nationH4531, by temptationsH226, by signsH4159, and by wondersH4421, and by warH2389, and by a mightyH3027handH5186, and by a stretched out[H8803] H2220armH1419, and by greatH4172terrorsH3068, according to all that the LORDH430your GodH6213did[H8804] H4714for you in EgyptH5869before your eyes?

³⁵ H7200Unto thee it was shewed[H8717] H3045, that thou mightest know[H8800] H3068that the LORDH430he is GodH5750; there is none elseH905beside him.

³⁶ H8064Out of heavenH8085he made thee to hear[H8689] H6963his voiceH3256, that he might instruct[H8763] H776thee: and upon earthH7200he shewed[H8689] H1419thee his greatH784fireH8085; and thou heardest[H8804] H1697his wordsH8432out of the midstH784of the fire.

³⁷ H157And because he loved[H8804] H1thy fathersH977, therefore he chose[H8799] H2233their seedH310afterH3318them, and brought thee out[H8686] H6440in his sightH1419with his mightyH3581powerH4714out of Egypt;

⁴⁰ H8104Thou shalt keep[H8804] H2706therefore his statutesH4687, and his commandmentsH6680, which I command[H8764] H3117thee this dayH3190, that it may go well[H8799] H1121with thee, and with thy childrenH310afterH748thee, and that thou mayest prolong[H8686] H3117thy daysH127upon the earthH3068, which the LORDH430thy GodH5414giveth[H8802]  thee, for ever.

⁴³ H1221Namely, BezerH4057in the wildernessH4334, in the plainH776countryH7206, of the ReubenitesH7216; and RamothH1568in GileadH1425, of the GaditesH1474; and GolanH1316in BashanH4520, of the Manassites.
