³ H4428And the kingH559said[H8799] H2492unto them, I have dreamed[H8804] H2472a dreamH7307, and my spiritH6470was troubled[H8735] H3045to know[H8800] H2472the dream.

⁴ H1696Then spake[H8762] H3778the ChaldeansH4428to the kingH762in SyriackH4430, O kingH2418, live[H8747] H5957for everH560: tell[H8747] H5649thy servantsH2493the dreamH2324, and we will shew[H8741] H6591the interpretation.

⁵ H4430The kingH6032answered[H8750] H560and said[H8750] H3779to the ChaldeansH4406, The thingH230is gone[H8754] H4481from meH2006: ifH3809ye will notH3046make known[H8681] H2493unto me the dreamH6591, with the interpretationH5648thereof, ye shall be cut[H8725] H1917in piecesH1005, and your housesH7761shall be made[H8725] H5122a dunghill.

⁶ H2006But ifH2324ye shew[H8681] H2493the dreamH6591, and the interpretationH6902thereof, ye shall receive[H8741] H4481ofH6925meH4978giftsH5023and rewardsH7690and greatH3367honourH3861: thereforeH2324shew[H8680] H2493me the dreamH6591, and the interpretation thereof.

⁷ H6032They answered[H8754] H8579againH560and said[H8750] H4430, Let the kingH560tell[H8748] H5649his servantsH2493the dreamH2324, and we will shew[H8681] H6591the interpretation of it.

⁸ H4430The kingH6032answered[H8750] H560and said[H8750] H576, IH3046know[H8751] H4481ofH3330certaintyH608that yeH2084would gain[H8750] H5732the timeH6903, becauseH3606 H2370ye see[H8754] H4406the thingH230is gone[H8754] H4481from me.

⁹ H2006But ifH3809ye will notH3046make known[H8681] H2493unto me the dreamH1932, there is but oneH2298 H1882decreeH2164for you: for ye have prepared[H8724] H3538lyingH7844and corrupt[H8752] H4406wordsH560to speak[H8749] H6925beforeH5705me, tillH5732the timeH8133be changed[H8721] H3861: thereforeH560tell[H8747] H2493me the dreamH3046, and I shall know[H8748] H1768thatH2324ye can shew[H8681] H6591me the interpretation thereof.

¹¹ H3358And it is a rareH4406thingH4430that the kingH7593requireth[H8751] H383, and there isH3809noneH321otherH2324that can shew[H8741] H6925it beforeH4430the kingH3861, exceptH426the godsH4070, whose dwellingH383isH3809notH5974withH1321flesh.

²⁶ H4430The kingH6032answered[H8750] H560and said[H8750] H1841to DanielH8036, whose nameH1096was BelteshazzarH383, ArtH3546thou able[H8751] H3046to make known[H8682] H2493unto me the dreamH2370which I have seen[H8754] H6591, and the interpretation thereof?

²⁷ H1841DanielH6032answered[H8750] H6925in the presenceH4430of the kingH560, and said[H8750] H7328, The secretH4430which the kingH7593hath demanded[H8751] H3202cannot[H8750] H3809 H2445the wiseH826men, the astrologersH2749, the magiciansH1505, the soothsayers[H8750] H2324, shew[H8682] H4430unto the king;

²⁸ H1297ButH383there isH426a GodH8065in heavenH1541that revealeth[H8751] H7328secretsH3046, and maketh known[H8684] H4430to the kingH5020NebuchadnezzarH4101whatH1934shall be[H8748] H320in the latterH3118daysH2493. Thy dreamH2376, and the visionsH7217of thy headH5922uponH4903thy bedH1836, are these;

²⁹ H607As for theeH4430, O kingH7476, thy thoughtsH5559came[H8760] H5922into thy mind uponH4903thy bedH4101, whatH1934should come to pass[H8748] H311hereafterH1836 H1541: and he that revealeth[H8751] H7328secretsH3046maketh known[H8684] H4101to thee whatH1934shall come to pass[H8748] .

³² H6755This image'sH7217headH2869was of fineH1722goldH2306, his breastH1872and his armsH3702of silverH4577, his bellyH3410and his thighsH5174of brass,

³³ H8243His legsH6523of ironH7271, his feetH4481partH6523of ironH4481and partH2635of clay.

³⁴ H2370Thou sawest[H8751] H1934 [H8754] H5705tillH69that a stoneH1505was cut out[H8728] H3809withoutH3028handsH4223, which smote[H8754] H6755the imageH5922uponH7271his feetH6523that were of ironH2635and clayH1855, and brakeH1994themH1855to pieces[H8684] .

³⁵ H116ThenH6523was the ironH2635, the clayH5174, the brassH3702, the silverH1722, and the goldH1855, broken to pieces[H8754] [H8676] H1751 [H8754] H2298togetherH1934, and became[H8754] H5784like the chaffH4481ofH7007the summerH147threshingfloorsH7308; and the windH5376carriedH1994themH5376away[H8754] H3606, thatH3809noH870placeH7912was found[H8728] H69for them: and the stoneH4223that smote[H8754] H6755the imageH1934became[H8754] H7229a greatH2906mountainH4391, and filled[H8754] H3606the wholeH772earth.

³⁶ H1836ThisH2493is the dreamH560; and we will tell[H8748] H6591the interpretationH6925thereof beforeH4430the king.

³⁷ H607ThouH4430, O kingH4430, art a kingH4430of kingsH426: for the GodH8065of heavenH3052hath given[H8754] H4437thee a kingdomH2632, powerH8632, and strengthH3367, and glory.

³⁸ H3606And wheresoeverH1123the childrenH606of menH1753dwell[H8748] H2423, the beastsH1251of the fieldH5776and the fowlsH8065of the heavenH3052hath he given[H8754] H3028into thine handH7981, and hath made thee ruler[H8684] H3606over them allH607. ThouH7217art this headH1722of gold.

³⁹ H870And afterH6966thee shall arise[H8748] H317anotherH4437kingdomH772inferiorH4481to theeH317, and anotherH8523thirdH4437kingdomH5174of brassH7981, which shall bear rule[H8748] H3606over allH772the earth.

⁴⁰ H7244And the fourthH4437kingdomH1934shall be[H8748] H8624strongH6523as ironH6523: forasmuch as ironH1855breaketh in pieces[H8683] H2827and subdueth[H8751] H3606allH6903things : and asH6523ironH7490that breaketh[H8750] H3606allH459theseH1855, shall it break in pieces[H8681] H7490and bruise[H8748] .

⁴¹ H2370And whereas thou sawest[H8754] H7271the feetH677and toesH4481, partH6353of pottersH2635' clayH4481, and partH6523of ironH4437, the kingdomH1934shall be[H8748] H6386divided[H8752] H4481; butH1934there shall be[H8748] H4481in it ofH5326the strengthH6523of the ironH3606, forasmuch asH6903 H2370thou sawest[H8754] H6523the ironH6151mixed[H8743] H2917with miryH2635clay.

⁴² H677And as the toesH7271of the feetH4481were partH6523of ironH4481, and partH2635of clayH4437, so the kingdomH1934shall be[H8748] H4481partlyH7118 H8624strongH4481, and partlyH7118 H8406broken[H8750] .

⁴³ H1768And whereasH2370thou sawest[H8754] H6523ironH6151mixed[H8743] H2917with miryH2635clayH1934, they shall mingle themselves[H8748] H6151 [H8723] H2234with the seedH606of menH1934: but they shall[H8748] H3809notH1693cleave[H8751] H1836oneH5974toH1836anotherH1888, evenH6523as ironH3809is notH6151mixed[H8723] H2635with clay.

⁴⁴ H3118And in the daysH581of theseH4430kingsH426shall the GodH8065of heavenH6966set up[H8681] H4437a kingdomH5957, which shall neverH3809 H2255be destroyed[H8721] H4437: and the kingdomH3809shall notH7662be left[H8721] H321to otherH5972peopleH1855, but it shall break in pieces[H8681] H5487and consume[H8681] H3606allH459theseH4437kingdomsH1932, and itH6966shall stand[H8748] H5957for ever.

⁴⁵ H3606Forasmuch asH6903 H2370thou sawest[H8754] H69that the stoneH1505was cut out[H8728] H2906of the mountainH3809withoutH3028handsH1855, and that it brake in pieces[H8684] H6523the ironH5174, the brassH2635, the clayH3702, the silverH1722, and the goldH7229; the greatH426GodH3046hath made known[H8684] H4430to the kingH4101whatH1934shall come to pass[H8748] H311hereafterH1836 H2493: and the dreamH3330is certainH6591, and the interpretationH540thereof sure[H8683] .

⁴⁶ H116ThenH4430the kingH5020NebuchadnezzarH5308fell[H8754] H5922uponH600his faceH5457, and worshipped[H8754] H1841DanielH560, and commanded[H8754] H5260that they should offer[H8742] H4504an oblationH5208and sweet odours unto him.

⁴⁷ H4430The kingH6032answered[H8750] H1841unto DanielH560, and said[H8750] H4481, OfH7187a truthH1768it is, thatH426your GodH426is a GodH426of godsH4756, and a LordH4430of kingsH1541, and a revealer[H8751] H7328of secretsH3202, seeing thou couldest[H8754] H1541reveal[H8749] H1836thisH7328secret.

⁴⁹ H1841Then DanielH1156requested[H8754] H4481ofH4430the kingH4483, and he set[H8745] H7715ShadrachH4336, MeshachH5665, and AbednegoH5922, overH5673the affairsH4083of the provinceH895of BabylonH1841: but DanielH8651sat in the gateH4430of the king.
