² H4428And the kingH7121called[H8799] H1393the GibeonitesH559, and said[H8799] H1393unto them; (now the GibeonitesH1121were not of the childrenH3478of IsraelH3499, but of the remnantH567of the AmoritesH1121; and the childrenH3478of IsraelH7650had sworn[H8738] H7586unto them: and SaulH1245sought[H8762] H5221to slay[H8687] H7065them in his zeal[H8763] H1121to the childrenH3478of IsraelH3063and Judah.)

³ H1732Wherefore DavidH559said[H8799] H1393unto the GibeonitesH6213, What shall I do[H8799] H3722for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement[H8762] H1288, that ye may bless[H8761] H5159the inheritanceH3068of the LORD?

⁹ H5414And he delivered[H8799] H3027them into the handsH1393of the GibeonitesH3363, and they hanged[H8686] H2022them in the hillH6440beforeH3068the LORDH5307: and they fell[H8799] H7651all seven[H8675] H7659 H3162togetherH4191, and were put to death[H8717] H3117in the daysH7105of harvestH7223, in the firstH8462days, in the beginningH8184of barleyH7105harvest.

¹⁷ H52But AbishaiH1121the sonH6870of ZeruiahH5826succoured[H8799] H5221him, and smote[H8686] H6430the PhilistineH4191, and killed[H8686] H582him. Then the menH1732of DavidH7650sware[H8738] H559unto him, saying[H8800] H3318, Thou shalt go[H8799] H4421no more out with us to battleH3518, that thou quench[H8762] H5216not the lightH3478of Israel.

¹⁸ H310And it came to pass after thisH4421, that there was again a battleH6430with the PhilistinesH1359at GobH5444: then SibbechaiH2843the HushathiteH5221slew[H8689] H5593SaphH3211, which was of the sonsH7497of the giant.

¹⁹ H4421And there was again a battleH1359in GobH6430with the PhilistinesH445, where ElhananH1121the sonH3296of JaareoregimH1022, a BethlehemiteH5221, slew[H8686] H1555the brother of GoliathH1663the GittiteH6086, the staffH2595of whose spearH707was like a weaver's[H8802] H4500beam.

²⁰ H4421And there was yet a battleH1661in GathH376, where was a manH4067of great stature[H8675] H4055 H3027, that had on every handH8337sixH676fingersH7272, and on every footH8337sixH676toesH702, fourH6242and twentyH4557in numberH3205; and he also was born[H8795] H7497to the giant.

²¹ H2778And when he defied[H8762] H3478IsraelH3083, JonathanH1121the sonH8092of ShimeaH251the brotherH1732of DavidH5221slew[H8686]  him.
