² H935And when thou comest[H8804] H7200thither, look out[H8798] H3058there JehuH1121the sonH3092of JehoshaphatH1121the sonH5250of NimshiH935, and go in[H8804] H6965, and make him arise up[H8689] H8432from amongH251his brethrenH935, and carry[H8689] H2315him to an innerH2315chamber;

³ H3947Then take[H8804] H6378the boxH8081of oilH3332, and pour[H8804] H7218it on his headH559, and say[H8804] H559, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH4886, I have anointed[H8804] H4428thee kingH3478over IsraelH6605. Then open[H8804] H1817the doorH5127, and flee[H8804] H2442, and tarry[H8762]  not.

⁴ H5288So the young manH5288, even the young manH5030the prophetH3212, went[H8799] H7433to RamothgileadH1568 .

⁵ H935And when he came[H8799] H8269, behold, the captainsH2428of the hostH3427were sitting[H8802] H559; and he said[H8799] H1697, I have an errandH8269to thee, O captainH3058. And JehuH559said[H8799] H559, Unto which of all us? And he said[H8799] H8269, To thee, O captain.

⁶ H6965And he arose[H8799] H935, and went[H8799] H1004into the houseH3332; and he poured[H8799] H8081the oilH7218on his headH559, and said[H8799] H559unto him, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH4886, I have anointed[H8804] H4428thee kingH5971over the peopleH3068of the LORDH3478, even over Israel.

⁷ H5221And thou shalt smite[H8689] H1004the houseH256of AhabH113thy masterH5358, that I may avenge[H8765] H1818the bloodH5650of my servantsH5030the prophetsH1818, and the bloodH5650of all the servantsH3068of the LORDH3027, at the handH348of Jezebel.

⁸ H1004For the whole houseH256of AhabH6shall perish[H8804] H3772: and I will cut off[H8689] H256from AhabH8366him that pisseth[H8688] H7023against the wallH6113, and him that is shut up[H8803] H5800and left[H8803] H3478in Israel:

¹¹ H3058Then JehuH3318came forth[H8804] H5650to the servantsH113of his lordH559: and one said[H8799] H7965unto him, Is all wellH935? wherefore came[H8804] H7696this mad[H8794] H559fellow to thee? And he said[H8799] H3045unto them, Ye know[H8804] H376the manH7879, and his communication.

¹² H559And they said[H8799] H8267, It is falseH5046; tell[H8685] H559us now. And he said[H8799] H559, Thus and thus spake[H8804] H559he to me, saying[H8800] H559, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH4886, I have anointed[H8804] H4428thee kingH3478over Israel.

¹³ H4116Then they hasted[H8762] H3947, and took[H8799] H376every manH899his garmentH7760, and put[H8799] H1634it under him on the topH4609of the stairsH8628, and blew[H8799] H7782with trumpetsH559, saying[H8799] H3058, JehuH4427is king[H8804] .

¹⁴ H3058So JehuH1121the sonH3092of JehoshaphatH1121the sonH5250of NimshiH7194conspired[H8691] H3141against JoramH3141. (Now JoramH8104had kept[H8802] H7433RamothgileadH1568 H3478, he and all IsraelH6440, becauseH2371of HazaelH4428kingH758of Syria.

¹⁵ H4428But kingH3088JoramH7725was returned[H8799] H7495to be healed[H8692] H3157in JezreelH4347of the woundsH761which the SyriansH5221had given[H8686] H3898him, when he fought[H8736] H2371with HazaelH4428kingH758of SyriaH3058.) And JehuH559said[H8799] H3426, If it beH5315your mindsH408, then let noneH3318go forth[H8799] H6412nor escapeH5892out of the cityH3212to go[H8800] H5046to tell[H8687] H3157it in Jezreel.

¹⁶ H3058So JehuH7392rode in a chariot[H8799] H3212, and went[H8799] H3157to JezreelH3141; for JoramH7901lay[H8802] H274there. And AhaziahH4428kingH3063of JudahH3381was come down[H8804] H7200to see[H8800] H3141Joram.

¹⁷ H5975And there stood[H8802] H6822a watchman[H8802] H4026on the towerH3157in JezreelH7200, and he spied[H8799] H8229the companyH3058of JehuH935as he came[H8800] H559, and said[H8799] H7200, I see[H8802] H8229a companyH3088. And JoramH559said[H8799] H3947, Take[H8798] H7395an horsemanH7971, and send[H8798] H7125to meet[H8800] H559them, and let him say[H8799] H7965, Is it peace?

¹⁸ H3212So there went[H8799] H7392one on horseback[H8802] H5483 H7125to meet[H8800] H559him, and said[H8799] H559, Thus saith[H8804] H4428the kingH7965, Is it peaceH3058? And JehuH559said[H8799] H7965, What hast thou to do with peaceH5437? turn[H8798] H310thee behindH6822me. And the watchman[H8802] H5046told[H8686] H559, saying[H8800] H4397, The messengerH935came[H8804] H7725to them, but he cometh not again[H8804] .

¹⁹ H7971Then he sent out[H8799] H8145a secondH7392on horseback[H8802] H5483 H935, which came[H8799] H559to them, and said[H8799] H559, Thus saith[H8804] H4428the kingH7965, Is it peaceH3058? And JehuH559answered[H8799] H7965, What hast thou to do with peaceH5437? turn[H8798] H310thee behind me.

²⁰ H6822And the watchman[H8802] H5046told[H8686] H559, saying[H8800] H935, He came[H8804] H7725even unto them, and cometh not again[H8804] H4491: and the drivingH4491is like the drivingH3058of JehuH1121the sonH5250of NimshiH5090; for he driveth[H8799] H7697furiously.

²¹ H3088And JoramH559said[H8799] H631, Make ready[H8798] H7393. And his chariotH631was made ready[H8799] H3088. And JoramH4428kingH3478of IsraelH274and AhaziahH4428kingH3063of JudahH3318went out[H8799] H376, eachH7393in his chariotH3318, and they went out[H8799] H7125against[H8800] H3058JehuH4672, and met[H8799] H2513him in the portionH5022of NabothH3158the Jezreelite.

²² H3088And it came to pass, when JoramH7200saw[H8800] H3058JehuH559, that he said[H8799] H7965, Is it peaceH3058, JehuH559? And he answered[H8799] H7965, What peaceH5704, so long asH2183the whoredomsH517of thy motherH348JezebelH3785and her witchcraftsH7227are so many?

²³ H3088And JoramH2015turned[H8799] H3027his handsH5127, and fled[H8799] H559, and said[H8799] H274to AhaziahH4820, There is treacheryH274, O Ahaziah.

²⁴ H3058And JehuH7198drew a bowH4390with his full[H8765] H3027strengthH5221, and smote[H8686] H3088JehoramH2220between his armsH2678, and the arrowH3318went out[H8799] H3820at his heartH3766, and he sunk down[H8799] H7393in his chariot.

²⁵ H559Then said[H8799] H920Jehu to BidkarH7991his captainH5375, Take up[H8798] H7993, and cast[H8685] H2513him in the portionH7704of the fieldH5022of NabothH3158the JezreeliteH2142: for remember[H8798] H7392how that, when I and thou rode[H8802] H6776togetherH310afterH256AhabH1his fatherH3068, the LORDH5375laid[H8804] H4853this burden upon him;

²⁶ H7200Surely I have seen[H8804] H570yesterdayH1818the bloodH5022of NabothH1818, and the bloodH1121of his sonsH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH7999; and I will requite[H8765] H2513thee in this platH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH5375. Now therefore take[H8798] H7993and cast[H8685] H2513him into the platH1697of ground, according to the wordH3068of the LORD.

²⁷ H274But when AhaziahH4428the kingH3063of JudahH7200saw[H8804] H5127this, he fled[H8799] H1870by the wayH1588of the gardenH1004houseH3058. And JehuH7291followed[H8799] H310afterH559him, and said[H8799] H5221, Smite[H8685] H4818him also in the chariotH4608. And they did so at the going upH1483to GurH2991, which is by IbleamH5127. And he fled[H8799] H4023to MegiddoH4191, and died[H8799]  there.

²⁸ H5650And his servantsH7392carried[H8686] H3389him in a chariot to JerusalemH6912, and buried[H8799] H6900him in his sepulchreH1with his fathersH5892in the cityH1732of David.

²⁹ H259And in the eleventhH6240 H8141 H8141yearH3141of JoramH1121the sonH256of AhabH274began AhaziahH4427to reign[H8804] H3063over Judah.

³⁰ H3058And when JehuH935was come[H8799] H3157to JezreelH348, JezebelH8085heard[H8804] H7760of it; and she painted[H8799] H6320 H5869her faceH3190, and tired[H8686] H7218her headH8259, and looked out[H8686] H2474at a window.

³¹ H3058And as JehuH935entered in[H8804] H8179at the gateH559, she said[H8799] H2174, Had ZimriH7965peaceH2026, who slew[H8802] H113his master?

³² H5375And he lifted up[H8799] H6440his faceH2474to the windowH559, and said[H8799] H8259, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out[H8686] H8147to him twoH7969or threeH5631eunuchs.

³³ H559And he said[H8799] H8058, Throw her down[H8798] H8058. So they threw her down[H8799] H1818: and some of her bloodH5137was sprinkled[H8799] H7023on the wallH5483, and on the horsesH7429: and he trode her under foot[H8799] .

³⁴ H935And when he was come in[H8799] H398, he did eat[H8799] H8354and drink[H8799] H559, and said[H8799] H6485, Go[H8798] H779, see now this cursed[H8803] H6912woman, and bury[H8798] H4428her: for she is a king'sH1323daughter.

³⁵ H3212And they went[H8799] H6912to bury[H8800] H4672her: but they found[H8804] H518no more of her thanH1538the skullH7272, and the feetH3709, and the palmsH3027of her hands.

³⁶ H7725Wherefore they came again[H8799] H5046, and told[H8686] H559him. And he said[H8799] H1697, This is the wordH3068of the LORDH1696, which he spake[H8765] H3027byH5650his servantH452ElijahH8664the TishbiteH559, saying[H8800] H2506, In the portionH3157of JezreelH3611shall dogsH398eat[H8799] H1320the fleshH348of Jezebel:

³⁷ H5038And the carcaseH348of JezebelH1828shall be as dungH6440upon the faceH7704of the fieldH2506in the portionH3157of JezreelH559; so that they shall not say[H8799] H348, This is Jezebel.
