Psalm 46 - Easy To Read Version

¹ God is our storehouse of strength.\par In him, we can always find help\par in times of trouble.\par

² So we are not afraid when the\par earth quakes,\par and the mountains fall into the sea.\par

³ We are not afraid when the seas\par become rough and dark,\par and the mountains shake.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [281]})\i0 \par

⁴ There is a river whose streams\par bring happiness to God’s city,\par to the holy city of God Most High.\par

⁵ God is in that city,\par so it will never be destroyed.\par God is there to help even before sunrise.\par

⁶ The nations will shake with fear,\par those kingdoms will fall\par when the Lord shouts,\par and the earth crumbles.\par

⁷ The Lord All-Powerful is with us.\par The God of Jacob is our place of safety.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [282]})\i0 \par

⁸ Look at the powerful things\par the Lord does.\par See the awesome things he has done\par on earth.\par

⁹ The Lord can stop wars\par anywhere on earth.\par He can break the soldiers’ bows,\par shatter their spears.\par and burn their shields. {\cf2\super [283]} \par

¹⁰ God says,\par “Stop fighting\par and learn that I am God!\par I defeat the nations!\par I control the world!”\par
