People who trust in the Lord\par will be like Mount Zion.\par They will never be shaken.\par They will continue forever.\par


The Lord thundered from the sky!\par God Most-High let his voice be heard.\par There was hail and flashes of lightning.\par


Sing to God!\par He rides his chariot through\par the ancient skies.\par Listen to his powerful voice!\par

The mountains melt like wax\par before the Lord, the Master of the earth.\par


The Lord All-Powerful will defend {\cf2\super [291]} Jerusalem—like birds flying over their nests. The Lord will save her. The Lord will “pass over” and save Jerusalem.


Look at Zion {\cf2\super [310]} , the city of our religious holidays. Look at Jerusalem—that beautiful place of rest. Jerusalem is like a tent that will never be moved. The pegs that hold her in place will never be pulled up. Her ropes will never be broken.

My Master, the Lord All-Powerful,\par will touch the land,\par and the land will melt.\par Then all the people that live in the land\par will cry for the dead people.\par The land will rise and fall\par like the Nile River in Egypt.\par


The mountains will melt under him\par like wax before a fire.\par The valleys will split open\par and flow like water down a steep hill.\par


The Lord will come,\par and the mountains will shake \{with fear\},\par and the hills will melt away.\par The Lord will come,\par and the earth will shake with fear.\par The world and every person on it\par will shake with fear.\par


Don’t be afraid of those people. Why? Because the Lord your God is with you. He is a great and awesome God.


We heard about those things and we became very afraid. And now, none of our men are brave enough to fight you. Why? Because the Lord your God rules the heavens above and the earth below!


They said to Joshua, “The Lord really has given us all of the land. All of the people in that country are afraid of us.”


Rahab said, “I know that the Lord has given this land to your people. You frighten us. All the people living in this country are afraid of you.


Then I saw a large white throne. I saw the One who was sitting on the throne. Earth and sky ran away from him and disappeared.
