“Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says YHWH. “I will provide the safety they desire.”
Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.
For the enemy pursues my soul. Hᴇ has struck my life down to the ground. Hᴇ has made me live in dark places, as those who have been long dead.
Rise up, YHWH! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the jaw. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
Contend, YHWH, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.
You, YHWH God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
Then the Lord awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.
