In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
Do good, YHWH, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
Y’all be glad in YHWH and rejoice, O righteous one! Y’all shout for joy, all who are upright in heart!
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.
The righteous will be glad in YHWH, and take refuge in ʜɪᴍ. All the upright in heart will praise ʜɪᴍ!
If a person does not repent, ʜᴇ will sharpen ʜɪꜱ sword; ʜᴇ has bent and strung ʜɪꜱ bow.
For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart will follow it.
Light is planted for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
