They also who seek after my life lay snares. Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all day long.


Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, that they may serve YHWH, their God. Don’t you yet know that Egypt is destroyed?”


A person who flatters their neighbor spreads a net for their feet.


For the wicked are found among my people. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch people.


Their tongue is a deadly arrow. It speaks deceit. They speak peaceably to their neighbor with their mouth, but in their heart, they waits to ambush them.


Saul said to David, “Look, my elder daughter Merab. I will give her to you as wife. Only be valiant for me, and fight YHWH’s battles.” For Saul said, “Don’t let my hand be on him, but let the hand of the Philistines be on him.”


Saul commanded his servants, “Y’all speak with David secretly, and say, ‘Look, the king has delight in you, and all his servants love you. Now therefore be the king’s son-in-law.’”


When his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king’s son-in-law. Before the appointed time,
