It pleased YHWH, for the sake of ʜɪꜱ righteousness, to magnify the law and make it glorious.
But John tried to prevent him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?”
They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commands and decrees of the Lord.
I have given y’all an example so that y’all should also do what I have done for y’all.
If y’all keep my commandments, y’all will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in ʜɪꜱ love.
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of ʜɪᴍ who sent me and to accomplish ʜɪꜱ work.
Hᴇ who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to ʜɪᴍ.”
For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.
