Yet he filled their houses with good things, but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.


By your hand, YHWH, deliver me from people from people of the world whose portion is in this life. You will fill their belly with your stores. Their sons will have plenty, and they leave their abundance for their children.


Their inward thought is that their houses will endure forever, and their dwelling places to all generations. They name their lands after themselves.


Their eyes bulge from fat. The imaginations of their hearts run freely.


Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old; when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her. The adversaries saw her. They mocked at her desolations.


In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain.


and said, “Sir, we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said: ‘After three days I will rise again.’


If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is more beautiful for you to enter life lame than to be thrown into hell with two feet.
