YHWH appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your offspring.” So he built an altar there to YHWH, who had appeared to him.


Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.


Y’all be courageous! Let’s be courageous for our people and for the cities of our God. May YHWH do what seems good to ʜɪᴍ.”


“I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man.


Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which YHWH gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid and don’t be dismayed.


Take heed now, for YHWH has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”


David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed, for YHWH God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of YHWH is finished.


But as for y’all, be strong! Don’t let y’all’s hands drop in discouragement, for y’all’s work will be rewarded.”


Look how they reward us, to come to cast us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.


Didn’t you, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it to the offspring of Abraham your friend forever?


Wait for YHWH. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for YHWH.


He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid. Peace be to you. Y’all must be strong-strong!” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”


But now you be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says YHWH. ‘Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all people of the land,’ says YHWH. ‘Y’all must work, for I am with y’all,’ says YHWH Almighty.


YHWH Almighty says: “Let y’all’s hands be strong, y’all who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets who were there the day that the foundation of the house of YHWH Almighty was laid, even the temple, so that it might be built.


“To these the land is to be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.


Y’all must take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for I have given the land to y’all to possess it.


Y’all must stay alert and must stand firm in the faith! Y’all must be courageous and strong!


Finally, y’all be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.


Look, YHWH your God has set the land before you. Go up and take possession as YHWH the God of your ancestors has told you. Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed.”


Look, I have set the land before y’all. Y’all must go in and possess the land which YHWH swore to y’all’s ancestors—to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob—to give to them and to their descendants after them.’”


Therefore y’all must keep the every commandment which I am commanding y’all today, so that y’all may be strong and go in and possess the land that y’all are about to cross over and possess,


He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “You are to be strong and courageous, for you will bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”


You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.


Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him must be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”


Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

Joshua said to them, “Y’all must not be afraid or discouraged. Y’all must be strong and courageous, for YHWH will do this to all y’all’s enemies whom y’all fight.”


all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians. I will drive them out from before the children of Israel. Just allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.


Joshua said to the children of Israel, “How long will y’all delay going in to possess the land, which YHWH, the God of y’all’s ancestors, has given y’all?


So YHWH gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers. They possessed it, and lived in it.


For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn’t listen to YHWH’s voice. YHWH swore to them that he wouldn’t let them see the land which YHWH swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.


Y’all must strong and behave like men, Philistines! Otherwise y’all will be servants to the Hebrews, as they have been to y’all. Be men and fight!”
