He went in to Hagar, and she conceived. When she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
The Angel of YHWH said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hands.”
God heard the voice of the boy. The angel of God called to Hagar out of the sky, and said to her, “What troubles you, Hagar? Don’t be afraid. For God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.
YHWH said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.
When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
He came to a cave there, and camped there. Suddenly, the word of YHWH came to him, and ʜᴇ said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
But he went in, and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, “Where did you come from, Gehazi?” He said, “Your servant went nowhere.”
If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, don’t leave your place; for gentleness lays great offenses to rest.
He lifted up his eyes, and saw the wayfaring man in the street of the city; and the old man said, “Where are you going? Where did you come from?”
Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that YHWH has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before YHWH; for they have driven me out today that I shouldn’t cling to YHWH’s inheritance, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods!’
