19 Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that YHWH has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before YHWH; for they have driven me out today that I shouldn’t cling to YHWH’s inheritance, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods!’

Then Judah came near to him, and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and don’t let your anger burn against your servant for you are even as Pharaoh.


YHWH smelled the pleasant aroma. YHWH said in ʜɪꜱ heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.


For the king will hear, to deliver his servant out of the hand of the man who would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.


The king said, “What have I to do with y’all, sons of Zeruiah? Because he curses, and because YHWH has said to him, ‘Curse David,’ who can say, ‘Why have you done this?’”


David said to Abishai and to all his servants, “Look, my son, who came out of my bowels, seeks my life. How much more this Benjamite, now? Y’all leave him alone and let him curse, because YHWH has invited him.

YHWH said to him, ‘How?’ He said, ‘I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said, ‘You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’


Satan stood up against Israel, and incited David to take a census of Israel.


Woe is me, that I live in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!


May ʜᴇ grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel.


“Don’t slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty.


Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will be in awe and grow larger; because the riches of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.
