“I am a stranger and a foreigner living with y’all. Give me a possession of a burial site among y’all so that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”
Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are one hundred thirty years. The days of the years of my life have been few and evil. They have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”
For we are strangers before you and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.
“Hear my prayer, YHWH, and give ear to my cry. Don’t be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.
If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they must both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.
“‘The land must not be sold in perpetuity, because the land is mine. Y’all are strangers and live as foreigners with me.

Instead we should write to them that they should abstain from the things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from blood.

Working together with ʜɪᴍ, we urge y’all not to receive the grace of God in vain.
Therefore, beloved, since we have these promises, let’s cleanse ourselves from everything that defiles the flesh and the spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Therefore, y’all are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God,
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, urge y’all to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you* were called,
You must flee youthful desires, and instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
All of these people died in faith, not yet receiving the things promised. But they saw them far off and welcomed them, acknowledging that they were strangers and foreigners on the earth.

Beloved, this is now the second letter that I have written to y’all. In both, I am stimulating y’all as a reminder to sincere thinking.
