But y’all must not eat flesh with its life (that is, its blood).


For the life of all flesh is its blood. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, “Y’all are not eat the blood of any kind of flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it must be cut off.”


Another also said, “I will follow you, Lord, but first, let me say goodbye to those at my house.”


Instead we should write to them that they should abstain from the things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from blood.


Instead, he said farewell and added, “I will come back to y’all if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.


As for those among the ethnic groups who have believed, we have written our decision that they should keep themselves from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality.”

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.


Little children, y’all keep yourselves* from idols.
