But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven.


Iesus said unto him: verily I say unto thee, that this same night before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.


Then began he to curse and to swear, that he knew not the man. And immediately the cock crew.


Iesus answered him: Wilt thou give thy life for my sake? Verily verily I say unto thee, the cock shall not crow, till thou have denied me thrice.


For who preferreth thee? What hast thou, that thou hast not received? if thou have received it: why rejoicest thou as though thou haddest not received it?


¶ Brethren, if any man be fallen by chance into any fault: ye which are spiritual, help to amend him, in the spirit of meekness: considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
