¶ Even as they departed, Iesus began to speak unto the people of Ihon. What went ye for to see in the wilderness? went ye out to see a reed wavering with the wind?


¶ Then assembled together the chief priests and scribes and seniors of the people into the palace of the high priest, called Caiphas:


as it is written in the prophets, behold I send my messenger before thy face which shall prepare thy way before thee.
