“If I rejoiced at my enemy’s misfortune or gloated because calamity found him—


Light shines in the darkness for the upright. Gracious, compassionate and just is he.


For an enemy pursues my soul. He crushes my life down to the ground. He makes me dwell in darkness, like those long dead.


Some have chariots, some have horses, but we remember the Name of Adonai our God.


Of David. Adonai is my light and my salvation: whom should I fear? Adonai is the stronghold of my life: whom should I dread?


Do not let my deceitful enemies gloat over me without cause, nor let those who hate me for nothing wink an eye.


The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous is a gracious giver.


Though he stumble, he will not fall headlong, for Adonai is holding his hand.


But I wait for You, Adonai— You will answer, O Lord my God.


For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else. I would rather stand at the threshold of the House of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Therefore thus says Adonai Elohim: ‘Surely in the fire of My wrath I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, that have taken My land for themselves as a possession with the joy of all their heart and contempt in their souls, in order to seize it as plunder.’


“In that day I will raise up David’s fallen sukkah. I will restore its breaches, raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in days of old


You should not look down on your brother on the day of his disaster, nor should you rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction. You should not speak proudly in the day of their distress.


Writhe and give birth, Daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor. For now you will go forth from a city. You will dwell in the field, and you will come as far as Babylon. There you will be rescued. There will Adonai redeem you from the hand of your enemies.


Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her— she who said to me: “Where is Adonai, your God?” My eyes will gaze at her— now she will be trampled like mud in streets.


In that day Adonai will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the weakest among them that day will be like David and the house of David will be like God—like the angel of Adonai before them.


the people sitting in darkness have seen a great light, and those sitting in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”


Amen, amen I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will celebrate. You will be filled with sorrow, but your sorrow will turn to joy!


Yeshua spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows Me will no longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”


to open their eyes—so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive release from sins as well as a place among those who are made holy through trusting in Me.’


For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Messiah.

And the city has no need for the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb.


Night shall be no more, and people will have no need for lamplight or sunlight—for Adonai Elohim will shine on them. And they shall reign forever and ever!
