Have you not made a hedge around him, his household, and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands and his possessions have increased in the land.


I remember the days of old. I meditate on all You have done. I ponder the work of Your hands.


It sent out its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river.


You have renounced the covenant of Your servant. You have defiled his crown even to the ground.


A throne will be established in mercy, and One will sit on it in truth —in the tent of David— One who seeks justice and is ready for righteousness.


So now, I will make known to you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down the fence, and it will be trodden down.


Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins, will raise up the age-old foundations, will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets for Dwelling.


Then His people remembered the days of old, the days of Moses: “Where is He who brought them through the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put among them His Ruach ha-Kodesh?


I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, an heir of My mountains from Judah. My chosen ones will inherit it, and My servants will dwell there.


Or at another time I may speak about a nation or about a kingdom, to build up or to plant it.


Instead they will serve Adonai their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.


I will hand them over to those seeking their lives, into the hand of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his servants. Yet afterwards it will be inhabited, as in the days of old.” It is a declaration of Adonai.


Bring us back to You, Adonai, and we will return. Renew our days as of old—


Then all the trees of the field will know that I, Adonai, have brought down the high tree, exalted the lowly tree, dried up the green tree, and made the dry tree flourish. I, Adonai, have spoken and I will do it.”


I will multiply man and beast upon you. They will increase and be fruitful. I will cause you to be inhabited as you were before. I will do better for you than at your beginnings. You will know that I am Adonai.


Afterwards, Bnei-Yisrael will return, and they will seek Adonai their God and David their king. Then they will turn in awe to Adonai and to His goodness in the last days.


But on Mount Zion there will be deliverance, and it will be holy. Then house of Jacob will dispossess those who dispossessed them.


Therefore He will give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth. Then the remnant of His brothers will return to Bnei-Yisrael.


A day to rebuild your walls— a day the boundary will be far off,


Tend Your people with Your staff, the flock of Your inheritance, dwelling alone, in a forest in the midst of a fertile garden. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.


Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I have fallen—I will arise. Though I sit in darkness, Adonai is my light.


Adonai also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and the honor of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not exceed that of Judah.


The whole land, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem, will become like the Arabah. Jerusalem will be raised up and occupy her place, from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.


Then speak to him saying, “Thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot: Behold, a man whose Name is the Branch will branch out from his place and build the Temple of Adonai.


Edom will be conquered— his enemies will conquer Seir, but Israel will triumph.
