Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched the man, and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”
Then he woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” So the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Then he took hold of the child's hand and said to her, “Talitha koumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to yoʋ, arise.”
And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha” (that is, “Be opened”).
