All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:


So the crowds were saying, “This is Jesus the prophet, who is from Nazareth of Galilee.”


Then he went out to the gateway, and another servant girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”


“Leave us alone! What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have yoʋ come to destroy us? I know who yoʋ are—the Holy One of God.”


In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.


In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,


They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.


When Joseph and Mary had finished everything that was required by the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth.


They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” (Judas, who betrayed him, was also standing with them.)


So again he asked them, “Whom do you seek?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”


Pilate also wrote a notice and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”


“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs that God did through him in your midst, just as you yourselves well know,


For we have found this man to be a pestilent fellow, an instigator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
